Benkovac

Bencovac is located on the southeast from Zadar, it is the main resort of Ravni Kotari county, in inland. Benkovac is a Centrum of viniculture (grape processing). Abort the town is ruin of old castle. 4 km on the southeast from Benkovac are reminds of Romans town Asseria. In surroundings is lot of historic findings. Reminds of old Croatian church are located near village Sopot. Reminds of church from 9th century are on the northwest from Benkovec near village Kula Agletia.
